TRADITION — To mark the end of an extensive, community-driven effort to secure the state’s seventh veterans nursing home, local representatives thanked those who played important roles Monday morning at Tradition Town Hall.
St. Lucie County Commissioner Frannie Hutchinson, Port St. Lucie Mayor JoAnn Faiella, Florida Rep. Larry Lee, U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy and Senators Joe Negron and Gayle Harrell took turns thanking those who helped.
“Congratulations to St. Lucie County,” Murphy said. “We won this because we deserve this.”
