United Veterans of St. Lucie County, Inc. has set their 25th Annual Golf Classic for Saturday, April 8 at Gator Trace Golf and Country Club, 4302 Gator Trace Drive, Fort Pierce.

Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Entry fees of $75 per player or $300 per foursome include the breakfast, 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and prizes.

As many of you know, United Veterans is a 501c(3) not for profit organization, comprised of more than 30 veteran organizations in St. Lucie County.

Through the proceeds of this annual event, the group is able to fulfill their mission statement of providing vans and buses, some to accommodate handicapped veterans, to transport St. Lucie County veterans to the West Palm Beach Medical Center for treatment.

The trips are coordinated by the county veteran’s service office (VSO), and in some cases they can also include transportation to other medical appointments.
