He’s soft-spoken, kind and friendly, and always appears to have a slight smile on his face. At 91, he’s slowed down a bit. But make no mistake — retired Air Force Master Sgt. Frank E. Antonucci, St. Lucie West, is a warrior, as his long, rich service shows.
How long? Four conflicts, spanning decades — World War II, Korea, the Berlin Crisis and Vietnam — with plenty of action in between.
Enlisting in the Army Air Corps in November of 1942, Antonucci, originally from Niagara Falls, New York, had wanted to be a pilot, but fate had other plans.
