Hundreds on hand at Fort Pierce park dedication

A new arch, benches and monuments are among the newly added features at Veterans Memorial Park, Fort Pierce, which was dedicated on Veterans Day. Sponsored by American Legion Post 40, the dedication was attended by city and county dignitaries and law enforcement, veterans’ groups, family, friends and supporters in the hundreds. Fort Pierce Mayor Linda Hudson cut the ceremonial ribbon, as the crowd burst into applause and cheers. It was the culmination of nearly a year’s worth of upgrades. Afterward, the traditional Veterans Day ceremony was held.
